Review the technical components included in the Concessions Dossiers sent by the coastal municipalities so ICT can issue an institutional endorsement for the concession to be subsequently entered into the Public Registry, using information from the master plan in force and other official information sent to ICT.

Use systems designed for Concession Dossier review processes, use specialized software to perform national planning tasks, including Geographic Information Systems for coastal zones and the country’s interior; use Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and AutoCAD.

Furthermore, this section includes the Law on Maritime-Coastal Zones, Law No. 6043 and its Regulation.

Within the Administrative Process it operates independently from the Institutional Procurement. Some of its more substantive activities are:

  • Plan, direct, coordinate, execute, and supervise activities related to the c, and supply of goods and services required for the good performance of the Institute.
  • Hire goods and services, in accordance with the budget and the different valid hiring and payment modalities.
  • Supply goods and services to the different units of the Institution, in accordance with the needs and the budget.
  • Create the institutional acquisition plan and provide follow-up
  • Take control of the institutional assets
  • Counsel and support the units in procedures related to institutional regulations, in matters of public fund usage.

  • Juan Santamaría International Airport launches laboratory service for rapid COVID-19 testing

    • Passengers will receive results in approximately one hour, allowing them to fulfil entrance requirements in certain countries that require the test.
    • Laboratorios Echandi will be in charge of operating the service.

    Beginning on May 14, the Juan Santamaría International Airport, under the administration of AERIS Costa Rica, will offer a rapid testing laboratory to detect the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19.

    SINAC and ICT ask visitors to follow a series of recommendations for a safe visit.

    • Engaging in responsible and safe tourism in PWAs requires consistent action on the part of everyone involved.
    • SINAC and ICT have launched campaigns to promote respect for wildlife and visitor safety.
    • Use official websites to learn about the PWA that you will be visiting.
    • If travelling with a tour operator or guide, make sure that they have ICT certifications and/or the necessary operating permits.

    • Convention Center received three major awards: gold in the “People’s Choice” category and bronze in the “Convention Center” and “Versatile Venue” categories.
