Youth Symphony Orchestra celebrates peace with a musical tour of Central America

Through musical notes, the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the National Institute of Music (OSJ) will commemorate the 13th Anniversary of the Signing of the Peace Agreement in Central America.

Under the leadership of the experienced director, Irwin Hoffman and with the participation of young musicians from all over Central America, the OSJ will present six presentations in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, with the intention to focus on the importance of the Peace Plan signed on August 7, 1987, driven by Mr. Oscar Arias Sánchez, the former President of Costa Rica.

This project, which was developed at the beginning of 2017, will now be a reality thanks to the partnership between the Arias Foundation for Peace and Human Progress and the National Music Center of the Ministry of Culture and Youth (CNM).
